Play Rugby USA
Flag Rugby is a free-flowing game that allows all players to pick up the ball and run. Teamwork is a key element to success and is emphasized along with a high level of sportsmanship and fairness.
For those who have attended our camps in the past you’ll notice some changes and improvements. We’ve joined with Play Rugby USA of New York City to bring their innovative and fun, games and lesson plans to Oregon.
Our lead coaches are certified by Play Rugby USA and adhere to the principles of the Positive Coach model. The Positive Coach focuses on effort rather than outcome and on learning rather than comparison to others.
Emphasis will be on safety and fun at all times, and the use of flags limits physical contact for all age groups. Skill emphasis will be on running, passing and teamwork.
Rugby Oregon will be running 4 different camps this year.
