A Rugby Oregon coach is World Rugby and USA Rugby trained and certified, and works to protect and ensure player welfare. They are capable of teaching technical and tactical principles of the game appropriate for a player’s age and skill level. Rugby Oregon coaches have demonstrated an understanding of the laws and mandates of the game and are committed to ongoing professional development.
Every coach is responsible for completing the following requirements in order to have an "active" standing with USA Rugby. To guarantee liability coverage, a team needs to be considered "in compliance". Having a registered and "active" coach is one of the 3 requirements for a team to be considered "in compliance".
A coach is considered "active" for the membership cycle when they complete the following:
