Rugby Oregon continues to seek opportunities to provide valuable and affordable resources for our athletes and coaches. To that end, today Rugby Oregon announces a partnership with Atavus Rugby. "Rugby Oregon is committed to providing local player and coach development opportunities that are appropriate for both new and experienced athletes and coaches." explained Jenn Heinrich, Rugby Oregon President and CEO. "This partnership will include training camps for players, targeted monthly webinars and in-person coach education sessions, and connects our community with USA Rugby national and age grade coaches in our own back yard."
"Atavus Rugby is excited about our partnership with Rugby Oregon." said Shawn Pittman, Atavus Program Development Manager. "We look forward to our first visit in August and want to express our relentless dedication to the growth of rugby around the United States through developing players and coaches alike. We focus on developing the critical skills and the coaching processes that are necessary for the modern game. Our rugby philosophy is player centered and outcome-oriented, driven by the why. Skills are trained through a combination of technical execution, pressure, and context. We use variable & deliberate activities to accelerate skill development, a strengthen transfer from training to game day."
